LA Fashion Market, Los Angeles’ fashion industry market week, will be featuring Fall II/Holiday 2015 collections June 8-11 at all contemporary showrooms. A list of participating brands and showrooms can be found here.
LA Fashion Market takes place five times a year and includes both permanent showrooms and trade shows. Market week is when designers and brands present their upcoming collections to buyers, and buyers place orders for the upcoming season. Many showrooms also offer immediates, which allows buyers to place orders on existing inventory without having to wait until the new collection goes into production.
This is a great opportunity for buyers and boutique owners to discover new brands, learn about upcoming trends, and network with fellow industry members.
Participating buildings are mostly centered around 9th and Los Angeles Streets and include: California Market Center (CMC), Cooper Design Space, The Gerry Building, The New Mart, Academy Awards Clothes Showrooms, Lady Liberty Building, and Primrose Showroom Building. Trade shows ill include:
Designers & Agents (D&A) – Apparel, accessories, and footwear
COEUR – Accessories, footwear, lifestyle, home and gift
Brand Assembly – Contemporary and better contemporary apparel and accessories
SHAPE – Lounge and athletic wear and accessories
SELECT– Better women’s and contemporary apparel, accessories, and footwear
TRANSIT – Women and men’s footwear
LA Kid’s Market – Children’s fashions, exclusively at the CMC
There is no pre-registration for LA Fashion Market. Registration is on-site at each showroom building and trade show. Most buildings will ask for a business card. The CMC has an on-site registration fee and additional requirements.
