NJS - (W)EST is an art installation that features works from ‘Wire and Shadow - Portraits of Poems.’ Noah has created complex wire sculptures that embody their accompanying poetry, fully realized with the use of light and shadow. His works draw inspiration from Marc Zegans’ latest book Lyon Street, a collection of poems about coming of age in San Francisco in the 1970s.

Similar to the way a prism reveals the full spectrum of light, the true nature of his wire portraits are revealed when light passes through them, casting a myriad of emotions, expressed in shadow, that change with the angle of the light. Each shadow-projected face can reveal the full spectrum of emotions found in the poem from which the piece arose.

With his journey from Athens to Los Angeles echoing our own, we are thrilled to host Noah James Saunders and his intricate and amazing work! The art opening will kick off to the public at 7PM next Friday, January 19th, and the installation will be available for viewing through the remainder of the weekend. No cover and open to all ages!
