MENACE is a Los Angeles-based label founded by Latino designer Steven Mena in 2013. At its core, MENACE embraces the dark elements that embody the unforgiving side of Los Angeles culture, countering the stereotype that paints Los Angeles as a sunny paradise. MENACE derives inspiration from aspects of daily life, locally and globally, to offer original, street-inspired products.
As the brand has grown, MENACE still operates like a small independent company. The label has carved its way into the scene through the use of guerrilla tactics and its polished D.I.Y. aesthetic. Never one to shy away from controversial issues, each collection is inspired by distinct subject matter offering an original perspective on different topics.
