4 Ways to Celebrate Earth Day in the LA Fashion District
Earth Day can be celebrated in so many ways. Showing our appreciation to Mother Earth can be as simple as picking up trash in our local communities, or it can be used more broadly to bring awareness and inspire actions that make real environmental impact. However you choose to celebrate this magnificent planet, we encourage you to go beyond April 22nd. Here are a few super fun, fashionable, and delicious ways you can show your appreciation to our Earth all year around right here in the LA Fashion District!

Devour Wild Living Foods
760 S Main Street | 9am – 11pm
Wild Living Foods offers a colorful menu – breakfast, lunch and dinner – from a fully organic plant based kitchen. We won’t go into the various ways meat consumption takes a toll on environmental resources, but we will encourage you to try eating vegetarian and/or vegan meals for the day. If devouring delicious Chocolate Mousse Crepes, Avocado Toast, and Flat Earth Pizza is what we have to do to save the planet, those are certainly “sacrifices” we’re willing to make ; )
Shop Second Hand
You can totally stay fashion forward and contribute to lessening clothing waste by shopping second hand. If there’s one thing we know about fashion, it’s that most trends are recycled. Reduce your fashion footprint by shopping for pieces at these local thrift stores:
Ride Metro
This year, the Metro Board approved FREE train and bus rides on Earth Day. These free rides are designed to help reduce auto emissions, promote a healthy and sustainable environment, and combat climate change. Just think…if we all made Metro part of our daily commutes, we’d all save a half ton of CO2 emissions over the course of a year. Do it for Mother Earth!
